Meet Dr. Maria

Dr. Maria Al Ismail is a highly accomplished board-certified pediatric dentist with an impressive training background. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) degree from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she honed her skills in general dentistry. Driven by her passion for pediatric dental care, she pursued further education and completed a Master of Dental Sciences program at Tufts University. Seeking to deepen her expertise in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Al Ismail obtained a Doctorate of Dental Science in Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University, along with completing a rigorous pediatric dental residency program in the same school. Dr. Al Ismail is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 2017.

During her residency, Dr. Al Ismail gained extensive clinical experience and specialized training in providing comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents. Her residency program allowed her to further refine her skills in preventive care, behavior management, and treating dental issues specific to young patients.

Dr. Al Ismail's dedication to both patient care and academia is evident in her professional journey. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University from 2018 to 2021, where she contributed to the education and mentorship of future dental professionals. Recognized for her expertise, she currently holds positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at both the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Al Ismail's extensive training background and academic experience make her a trusted expert in pediatric dentistry, ensuring that children receive the highest quality of dental care while under her compassionate guidance.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Al Ismail leads a fulfilling personal life. She resides in Canton, MI, with her husband and their son. Dr. Al Ismail is an adventurous spirit who enjoys traveling, trying new things, and exploring different cultures.
